Maja Videnovik recently participated in TechCamp Slovakia, an event focused on combating disinformation under the theme “Educate, Empower, Expose: Combating Disinformation.” As an expert in media literacy and digital education, Maja shared her valuable insights on how educators and students can be better equipped to recognize and counteract the spread of false information in the digital age.
Held in Poprad from 27/08 to 30/08/2024, the TechCamp offered participants the chance to choose four out of seven sessions based on their interests. Maja led a session titled “Strategies, Approaches, and Tools for Media Literacy Education: First-hand Experience.” Through interactive activities, she worked to equip teachers with essential skills for effectively integrating digital and AI tools, aiming to boost media literacy in the classroom. Teachers engaged in design thinking exercises to assess their own digital and media literacy needs, explore useful tools, and develop educational resources to implement in their teaching practice.
