On October 3–4, 2025, the Faculty of Education in Bitola hosted the 6th International “Education Across Borders” Conference, themed Reimagining Education in the Modern Age (REMA) 2025. This international event brought together educators and researchers to explore innovative approaches in education.


Maja Videnovik and Vladimir Trajkovik had a plenary lecture “From AI to gamification: transforming education for the digital generation”. This keynote explored how AI-generated storytelling, gamified activities, and blended learning can create meaningful, engaging, and interactive learning environments that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, increasing students’ interest and motivation for the learning process. During the session, they also presented the implementation of the SHIELD methodology within the project Simulation game-based Hands-on Instruction for Enhancing Cybersecurity Learning and Development, showcasing its practical application and the benefits it brought to both teachers and students.




Maja and Vladimir also led a hands-on workshop titled “AI-Powered Gamification: Engaging Students Through Smart Learning Experiences,” where they introduced the SHIELD methodology to educators from different educational levels and participants were encouraged to integrate it into their teaching practice. The process of designing an engaging learning experiences using the power of AI was demonstrated during the workshop and participants learned how to use AI to generate interactive scenarios, storytelling elements, and personalized challenges tailored to their subjects. Through practical exercises, they learned how AI-driven tools can transform traditional lessons into immersive, game-like experiences.


During the conference, participants celebrated both the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Education – Bitola and World Teachers’ Day. The event fostered meaningful discussions, active involvement, and an overall atmosphere of enthusiasm and professionalism.
