Maja Videnovik is a computer science teacher and teacher-mentor at the primary school “Krste Misirkov”, Skopje, and co- founder of the NGO Center for Innovation and Digital Education Dig-Ed. She holds a master’s degree in technology integration in education. Currently, she is pursuing doctoral studies at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, focusing her research on the use of digital games in education to create interactive and engaging learning environments. She has authored about thirty scientific papers on technology integration in education, presented at international conferences and published in journals with impact factors.

Maja is committed to lifelong learning and has actively participated in about 200 different types of conferences, trainings, workshops, and webinars. She has been a national trainer on various topics related to innovative use of technology in education, strengthening digital competencies and media literacy of teachers, developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills and coding for teachers and students, formative and summative assessment in teaching, as well as a master trainer for the National platform for distance education. Furthermore, she has contributed as a local expert for the development of standards and professional competencies for teachers, teacher mentors, and teacher advisers. Recently, her training has been mainly focused on the use of artificial intelligence in education and cybersecurity education.

Maja Videnovik holds several international recognitions, including being a Microsoft Innovative Education Expert, Micro:bit Champion, CodeWeek Leading teacher, Scientix Ambassador, and New York Academy of Sciences STEM Certified Educator. She is also part of the European Digital Education Hub, where she co-authored the Digital Skills Playbook for Educators. Maja is a Fulbright Alumni, as the result of Fulbright Teacher Excellence and Achievement program: Media literacy cohort.
Her work at Dig-Ed is dedicated to the continuous professional development of teachers, with a focus on using technology to create engaging and interactive learning environments that will stimulate students’ interest and motivation for the teaching process. Additionally, Dig-Ed’s activities are aimed at creating a database of open educational resources in the Macedonian language.
