Maja Videnovik from Dig-Ed has participated in the Design Thinking Workshop at Hasso Platner Institute (HPI) in Potsdam, from 14 – 15.11.2024. The workshop was organized by Digital Education Hub, aiming ro provide insights in the design thinking methodology. As a leading institution in computer science and design thinking, HPI provided the perfect environment to explore this innovative, human-centered problem-solving methodology.
Participants were working in multidisciplinary teams within a HyFlex working environment, going through each stage of the design thinking process to tackle the challenge of Mental Well-Being & Engagement in Digital Learning. Exploring the 6-step design thinking process with 40 participants from 20 EU countries, organized into 8 smaller teams, from conducting interviews and prototyping to brainstorming and hands-on collaboration, every moment offered a valuable opportunity to learn and grow for the participants.
Maja’s team focused on addressing the lack of resources and training, as well as the fear of change, by exploring innovative solutions that foster engaging learning experiences, promote international exchange, and improve mental health from the perspective of educators. Her active participation at the workshop lead to Dig-Ed improved international presence.
This workshop wasn’t just about learning a new framework – it was about adopting a mindset of curiosity, creativity, and innovation. Maja will try to bring these skills to her future projects and continue embracing this user-centered approach.
