The “Jed(a)i of a new time: MED-AI” project aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and media literacy education into schools in Republic of North Macedonia. In an era where AI is transforming communication, information consumption, and global engagement, it is imperative to equip young students with the necessary skills to navigate these changes. The project concerns the challenges of cybersecurity, media literacy, and disinformation by developing students’ computational thinking, understanding of AI algorithms, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
We are announcing an open call for teachers in primary and secondary schools who will take active participation in workshops for the development of training materials, teaching materials and activities with a focus on artificial intelligence and media literacy. These online workshops will be implemented in the second half of December 2024 and in January 2025. Afterwards, participants will have to disseminate the acquired knowledge and skills in their schools and apply the prepared materials in the classroom with their students. Since the dissemination will be carried out at school level, for more efficient implementation of the activities, two teachers should apply from each school. So please fill the application as a pair of teachers (one application from both teachers at the school level). Applications will be received until 1.12.2024.
