SHIELD project presented at BETT UK 2026 TeachMeet in London

As part of the BETT UK 2026 conference in London, Maja Videnovik, representing the Centre for Innovations and Digital Education (Dig-Ed), participated in the international TeachMeet, where she presented SHIELD project.

The presentation focused on how cybersecurity education can be transformed into an engaging and meaningful learning adventure. Moving beyond traditional approaches and abstract rules, the concept reimagines cybersecurity learning through interactive challenges, game-based activities, and mission-driven scenarios that increase students’ interest, motivation, and active participation.

This approach demonstrates how complex topics such as cybersecurity can be made more accessible and engaging for learners by combining pedagogy, storytelling, and game-based learning strategies.

It was a great honour and privilege to present this example of good practice in front of an international community of educators, as well as to exchange ideas, experiences, and perspectives on innovative approaches in education.

The presentation contributed to the visibility of the SHIELD project and highlighted the work developed within our educational context on an international stage, promoting innovative teaching practices and reinforcing the importance of creative approaches in cybersecurity education.
