Dig-Ed participation at the conference “Making Teaching More Attractive” within the NELCA project

Representatives form Dig-Ed participated at the conference “Making teaching more attractive”, held as a final event within the Erasmus+ project Creating the Network of Excellent ULCA Schools (NELCA), The conference brought together an international community of experts, school leaders, and educators to explore innovative approaches to teaching, school development, and learner-centred education, with a strong focus on improving the attractiveness and quality of the teaching profession.

Presentation: Teaching that Inspires: Technology and Creativity in Learner-Centred Classrooms

The presentation “Teaching that Inspires: Technology and Creativity in Learner-Centred Classrooms” was delivered by Mirjana Jankulovska and Maja Videnovik. The session explored how teaching in modern classrooms can be made more engaging and meaningful by embracing innovative tools and creative approaches that actively involve learners and place them at the centre of the learning process.

It presented the development and implementation of three innovative training courses designed within the NELCA project. Rooted in the Learner-Centred Approach (LCA), these courses encourage educators to rethink their roles—from knowledge transmitters to facilitators of active, student-driven learning. Through hands-on, reflective, and collaborative learning experiences, teachers are encouraged to experiment with, design, and refine their own teaching practices. This process supports the discovery of how creativity and technology can unlock student potential and foster deeper engagement.

A blended learning model, combining face-to-face and online components, ensures flexibility and accessibility while promoting collaboration and peer learning. The outcomes highlight not only the development of enhanced digital and pedagogical skills, but also a meaningful shift in mindset toward teaching that values curiosity, connection, and inspiration.

Ultimately, the training demonstrates that inspiring teaching is not defined by tools alone, but by the learning experiences created for students. By integrating creativity, technology, and a learner-centred vision, these approaches open the door to classrooms where students are empowered to explore, create, and actively engage in their learning journey.

Workshop: Designing Attractive Learning Experiences with Digital Technology

The interactive workshop “Designing Attractive Learning Experiences with Digital Technology” was delivered by Maja Videnovik and Vladimir Trajkovik. The workshop explored how teachers can transform their classrooms into dynamic, engaging, and learner-centred environments through the purposeful use of digital tools. It encouraged educators to rethink their role not only as instructors, but as designers of meaningful learning experiences that foster curiosity, motivation, and active engagement.

Through hands-on activities and demonstrations of easy-to-use digital tools, participants examined how gamification principles and digital platforms can be effectively used to increase student engagement, promote collaboration, and support active participation in learning. By experimenting with a range of accessible tools and approaches, educators gained practical insights into designing learning experiences that are not only effective, but also enjoyable, creative, and inspiring. Grounded in learner-centred pedagogy, the workshop emphasized learning by doing, creativity, and reflection. Participants were encouraged to design their own technology-enhanced learning activities, taking into account learners’ needs, motivation, and educational context. The session also highlighted the importance of aligning digital tools with clear learning objectives, demonstrating that technology becomes most powerful when guided by strong pedagogical principles.

Ultimately, the workshop provided participants with practical strategies and immediately applicable ideas for their classrooms, empowering them to create interactive, meaningful, and motivating learning experiences that resonate with today’s learners.
